Added Over £1m of New Revenue to a Business Through Digital Marketing

I was hired as marketing strategist to write and execute marketing plan

My client, an independent school in London, faced serious issues in their business.

Their nursery was months away from going bust - with high expenses and not enough new customers coming through the door, they would have no choice to close unless something changed.

On top of this, their existing marketing campaigns were disjointed. They were paying a marketing agency for website upkeep, and getting nothing concrete in return.

Their marketing analytics were outdated - they had no idea what was bringing in new customers, and so couldn't know what to double down on.

With all of this in mind, something had to change, or else the nursery would go bust, which would be a big loss for the local community.

With all of this in mind, they contacted with me, asking for help with their Facebook Ads.

Before we started working together, there was no analytics data to use

After engaging with me, the first thing we did together was a consulting session, where we laid out all of the existing marketing assets they had and the business problem they faced, and with all of this on the table, we agreed that actually they needed a whole digital marketing strategy rehaul, which would primarily focus on getting new customers to find them through organic searches, accompanied by Google Ads to give a short term boost whilst the search engine marketing was being implemented.

With this plan then in place, I first got to work by installing a new marketing analytics system, so we could track every lead, know exactly where they found us and what they had been engaging with, and where they had finally decided to either submit a form to the website or ring up the business to enquire for a place at the nursery.

With this system, we could work out exactly which channels were our most effective, so we could then double down our efforts on the things that worked, and stop doing the marketing activities that were fruitless.

I also then used this data to improve the advertising for the business, finding more people who were like their actual customers, and get in front of them with adverts on Google.

Having tracked the phone calls, online enquires, and open day registrations back to which leads had found us from which marketing channels, we can then match these leads to which ones then reserved places at the nursery and paid fees, allowing us to work out exact returns on investment from this campaign.

Overall, this new marketing system has delivered millions in client lifetime revenue for their business, and not only enabled the nursery to survive, but create a waiting list of places for future years of the nursery.
